Stanwood Camano Food Bank is offering an web-based alternative to waiting in line for Food Bank services.
Those who wish to still receive their number ticket in-person at the Food Bank are welcome to do so, beginning 1 hour prior to when we open through closing. For questions, please reach out to scfoodbank@scfbs.org or ask a staff member when you arrive.
1. join the queue online
Join the virtual queue from anywhere, beginning 1 hour before we open until close. Fill out the form to claim a spot in line and receive a confirmation text. Spaces are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
2. WAIT FOR "READY" TEXT MESSAGE
30 minutes prior to your shopping time, you will receive a text message with a reminder to make your way to the front door. You will be let into the Food Bank approximately 30 minutes after receiving the text.
3. Come In & Begin your SHOP!
When your group's sign is posted at the front and side of the building, you may enter at the front door and have a seat in the waiting area. Food Bank staff will call you up to the desk to check in.
You can join the line virtually during the following times:
Wednesdays 1:45pm – 6:45pm
Fridays 12:45pm – 2:45pm
I don't have a cell phone, can I still join virtually?
Yes, you can hop in line virtually via a desktop computer at home. Numbers can also be picked up at the Food Bank in-person.
I don't use technology, can I still be able to get a number in person?
Yes, group numbers will still be handed out beginning 1 hour before opening times at the front entrance of the Food Bank.
Wednesdays 2:00pm – 7pm
Fridays 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Those who arrive prior to handing out numbers may wait in line to receive a ticket along the building on 102nd Ave.
I'm shopping for myself and for someone else, do I need 2 numbers?
No, if you are the only one who will be coming to shop for 2 different households, you only need 1 number ticket. However, if you want to use two different shopping carts, you will need a number for each shopping cart you want to use – 1 cart will be given per number ticket.
Can I get a number on behalf of my friend or family member?
Yes, if you are joining the virtual queue you can get a number on someone else’s behalf. Just remember you will need a separate phone number for each person you enter into the virtual queue.
When should I arrive at the Food Bank after I join the virtual line?
You can arrive anytime during Food Distribution hours, but we recommend arriving within an hour of joining the queue. You will also receive a text message 30 minutes prior to your group being served as an update on timeline.
