The Stanwood-Camano Food Bank functions as a grocery store model where members can come in in and shop with assistance from volunteers! We are open for Food Distribution on Wednesdays from 3pm-7pm, Thursdays from 11am-12pm (by appointment for age 60+) and Fridays from 11am-3pm.
step 1 sign up for services
Please sign up online before your first visit to the Food Bank. If you haven't visited the Food Bank in over a year or your household situation has changed, please fill out the sign up form again.
step 2 come to a food distribution
The Food Bank is open for Food Distribution on Wednesdays from 3pm-7pm, Thursdays from 11am-12pm (by appointment for age 60+) and Fridays from 11am-3pm. Please bring your own shopping bags.
step 3 get a number ticket
We hand out colored number tickets at the north side of the building beginning 1 hour before we open until close on Distribution Days. We call groups of shoppers by number so you have some flexibility during wait times.
step 4 check in and shop
Once your number is called, enter the Food Bank and check in at our front desk.
You are eligible for food assistanceĀ if you reside within the State of Washington. Please reference the income guidelines for receiving food assistance HERE. These guidelines are self-verified by each client, we do not require proof of income paperwork.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING ON MY FIRST VISIT TO SHOP?
Please bring your own shopping bags or boxes to put your groceries in.
DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SHOP?
Food Distributions on Wednesdays and Fridays operate on a first-come-first-serve basis, and are not appointment based. All are welcome! However, Senior Serve on Thursdays is appointment based for those age 60+. To learn more about Senior Serve click here.
WHERE TO DO I GET A NUMBER?
We begin handing out numbers 1 hour before we open on Wednesdays and Fridays. You can pickup a number ticket on the north side of our building, right next to the large roll-up door. If you arrive before we begin distributing numbers, please wait in your car until we begin. Forming a line prior to handout time or waiting on Food Bank property is not allowed (with exception of the parking lots). Promptly 1 hour before we open we hand out numbers. We continue to hand out numbers until we close.
WHERE DO I PARK?
You may park either in the parking lot next to the Methodist Church, or the parking lot next to the Thrift Store (across the street from the Food Bank). Do not park in the Preschool Co-op parking lot.
CAN I SHOP FOR MY HOUSEHOLD AND ANOTHER HOUSEHOLD ON THE SAME VISIT?
Yes, you can shop for up to 3 households total per food bank visit. If you are shopping on someone’s behalf they must contact the Food Bank via phone or email to authorize you to shop for them.
WHAT TYPES OF ITEMS DO YOU OFFER AT THE FOOD BANK?
We offer a variety of staple food items such as rice, beans, canned goods, milk, meat, produce, and other items. We also offer non-food items such as diapers, toiletries, and pet food when we have them available, depending on supply.
I'M A SENIOR - DO YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC DAY FOR ME TO SHOP?

No, we take great effort to ensure there is sufficient product offerings throughout the entire distribution.
