Currently, the Stanwood Camano Food Bank is feeding 997 kids per week in our community. Thanks to generous grants, donations, and volunteer hours we have been able to keep up with the ever-increasing demand.
The H.O.P.E. Backpack Program runs 52 weeks out of the year. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the SCFB distributes weekly food to kids in need. The packs included 7 days of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Packs are distributed to remote locations during the pandemic.
We currently have 1 shed & 4 pantries where parents can pick up weekly food for their children. Please do not leave food donations at the sheds or pantries. All food donations should be brought to the Stanwood Camano Food Bank.
The Lost Lake Community Center Wednesday from 3:30pm – 7:30pm & Saturday 10am – 1pm. This shed also acts as a remote food bank where families may pick up food to help them through their week.
Due to the generosity and sponsorship of Albertson’s Nourishing Neighbors Foundation, Arrowhead Ranch, Windermere, & Realty One Group, we have also set up food pantries in neighborhoods where children are at risk for suffering food insecurity. Children can walk or bike up to these pantries and grab food items and weekly packs at any time.
Every child in the Stanwood Camano School District is eligible for a weekly pack, whether or not they are school age. For more information please contact our Operations Manager at email@example.com.
